It is once again time for our church’s Annual Christmas Present drive. Bryanston’s response over many years has always been incredible and we ask you to consider donating new presents again this year. We appreciate it has been a very tough year for everyone and we are grateful for your efforts. You are invited to take a tag for the recipient from the Christmas Tree, find an age-appropriate present (please do not buy toys that require batteries) and drop off the gifts in the bright orange boxes throughout November and December. Should you prefer to pledge a gift online, you are welcome to do so, just fill in this form
Some recipients of the gifts will be:
Zamokuhle Day Care, Diepsloot
Phirri township in Soweto
Local distribution around Ivory Park
Local distribution by the Ursuline Sisters in Krugersdrop
Looking forward to sharing our Church’s generosity, love and the joy of Christmas with our Catholic family throughout Joburg.

In 2006, one of our parishioners, who wishes to remain anonymous, called on the parish office and advised that their daughter, who was about 15 at the time, had told her parents that she did not want a Christmas gift, but instead, asked them to sponsor a Christmas tree for underprivileged children. The parish office simply had to provide names of about 50 children, for whom they purchased gifts. The first occasion was very heartrending, as most of these children had never had a gift in their lives. This has become an annual event which provides immeasurable joy to the children. A lovely party is arranged and entertainment is provided. Father Christmas arrives and distributes the gifts.
