Our Lady of Fatima
Antiphons on page 1862 and Readings on Page 1620 of the Daily Missal

First Reading: Isaiah 61: 9-11

A reading from the Book of Isaiah

The descendants of my people shall be known among the nations,
and their offspring in the midst of the peoples;
all who see them shall acknowledge them,
that they are a people whom the Lord has blessed.

I will greatly rejoice in the Lord,
my soul shall exult in my God;
for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation,
he has covered me with the robe of righteousness,
as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland,
and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
For as the earth brings forth its shoots,
and as a garden causes what is sown in it to spring up,
so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise
to spring forth before all the nations.

The Word of the Lord

Responsorial psalm: Psalm 45:11-12, 14-15, 16-17 (R. 11a)

Let us pray the Responsorial Psalm

R./ Listen, O daughter; pay heed and give ear.

Listen, O daughter; pay heed and give ear:
forget your own people and your father’s house.
So will the king desire your beauty.
He is your lord, pay homage to him.

The daughter of the king is clothed with splendour;
her robes are threaded with gold.
In fine clothing she is led to the king;
behind her are her maiden companions, brought to you.

They are escorted amid gladness and joy;
they pass within the palace of the king.
Sons will be yours to succeed your fathers;
you will make them rulers over all the earth.

R./ Listen, O daughter; pay heed and give ear.

Gospel acclamation: John 10:14
Alleluia, Alleluia.
Blessed are you, O holy Virgin Mary, and worthy of all praise, because from you arose the sun of justice, Christ our God. Alleluia.

Gospel: Luke 11: 27-28

A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Luke

At that time:
As Jesus was speaking to the crowd,
a woman raised her voice and said to him,
“Blessed is the womb that bore you,
and the breasts that you sucked!
But he said:
Blessed rather are those who hear
the word of God and keep it!”
