St Vincent de Paul Sale 5/6 April

The crochet ladies group from Diepsloot X12 have created some delightful items for Easter. This is an ongoing project to help these innovative women become more self-sufficient. The Bryanston parishioners have always shown generosity in their support over the years. We look forward to your continued support this weekend.

VOCATION REFLECTION

Like the father in the Gospel, God welcomes us home in spite of our sinfulness, and calls us to a life of holiness. Where are you at Home? Are you being called to life as a priest or religious? (Luke 15:1-3,11-32).

PRAYER FOR LENT

Loving God, during the sacred season of Lent, bring us closer to you.

Prepare a place in our parish and in our hearts for silence and solitude, so that we may rediscover the grace of a prayerful life.

Help us to fast from those things

that threaten the well-being of our bodies and souls; remind us of the grace of simplicity.

Grant us generous hearts

so that we can give to those in need and, in so doing, rediscover the grace of gratitude and generosity.

May this season be a grace-filled time to rekindle a love for you.

We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

POPE’S PRAYER INTENTIONS

For families in crisis
Let us pray that broken families might discover the cure for their wounds through forgiveness, rediscovering each other’s gifts, even in their differences.
