If I were a shepherd, I could give a Lamb.

VOCATION REFLECTIONS

The Magi brought gold, frankincense, and myrrh. What treasures do I have to give to the Lord? Is he calling me to be a priest, brother or sister? (Mt.2:1-12)

Epiphany Blessing for the Home

Traditionally, Catholics bless their home and those who live in their household on the Feast of the Epiphany each year. The blessing of our homes reminds us that Christ is the One who enlightens our hearts and homes with His love. He is the source of our hope, our comfort and our joy. Leaflets containing the instructions for this blessing are in the foyer of the church.

 Prayer for Epiphany

Gracious God, our hearts rejoice in your presence, as we give you our thanks and praise, for you are the fulfilment of all our searching. Your beloved son, Jesus, is revealed to the whole world as Saviour and Redeemer, and as the King who reigns in justice and peace.
By the light of a star, you made him known to the magi from the east, who came to pay him homage. Be our daily star, guiding our lives to healing in the times of difficulty. May we always follow your light of truth in all that we do.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
