SECOND COLLECTION:

Pontifical Mission Society

“Go and invite everyone to the banquet”

Through your generous support of the Pontifical Mission Societies the Church can ensure that the Gospel reaches the ends of the earth. Our contributions help build and sustain communities of faith in places where the Church is still growing or facing persecution. This is our reflection of the universal call to share Christ’s love.

PEW REFURBISHMENT

A project to refurbish the pews is taking place. As we attempt to cause as little disruption as possible, your patience will be appreciated during the next few weeks.

Parish Poverty Relief collection next weekend: The Parish Poverty Relief Project collection will take place next weekend the 26/27 October.  Please bring to Mass non-perishable foods or cash for the Holy Rosary Parish in Ivory Park. Thank you for your valued support.

Pope Francis’ Prayer Intention for  the month of October is for a shared

Catholic mission

Congratulations to all who were confirmed on Wednesday evening by Archbishop Buti Tlhagale.

May the gifts of Holy Spirit guide them each and every day.

First Holy Communion

We rejoice with the children of the Parish and Brescia House School who received Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament for the first time. May they continue to grow in the love of Jesus.

Pious Lists – During the month of November all Masses will be offered for the faithful departed inscribed on the Pious lists.

VOCATION REFLECTIONS

Whoever wants to rank first among you must serve the needs of all. Are we willing to give our life in service to our brothers and sisters? (Mark 10: 35-45)

Prayer for SYNOD ON SYNODALITY

We stand before You, Holy Spirit,
as we gather together in Your name.
With You alone to guide us,
make Yourself at home in our hearts;
Teach us the way we must go
and how we are to pursue it.
We are weak and sinful;
do not let us promote disorder.
Do not let ignorance lead us down the wrong path nor partiality influence our actions.
Let us find in You our unity so that we may journey together to eternal life
and not stray from the way of truth
and what is right.
All this we ask of You, who are at work in every place and time, in the communion of the Father and the Son, for ever and ever.

Amen
