Prayer for ADVENT

God of hope, be with us on our Advent journey. Keep our hearts aflame with the hope of Christmas. Help us to welcome Christ into our homes and situations, into our hearts and into the hidden parts of our lives. Help us to put you as the center and focus of our lives, for sometimes we are distracted by the snares of the world. God of majesty and might, help us to receive the gift of salvation which you offer us through the incarnation of Jesus. We ask this through Christ, our Lord.  Amen.
