At confirmation, the Bishop asked the teens for a definition of the Holy Trinity. A girl answered very softly –
“The Holy Trinity is three persons in one God.” The Bishop, who was rather old and almost deaf, replied, “I didn’t understand what you said.” And the young theologian standing in front of him replied: “Well, Your Grace, you are not supposed to. The Trinity is a mystery. Nobody understands it.

UPCOMING EVENTS

Heads up, Dads! Next Sunday 19th June is Father’s Day – at last! We will be having a small market with varied stalls including lots of cakes and delicious goodies in support of Caritas – charities of our parish. VOCATION REFLECTION: Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit! Listen to what Jesus says; the Spirit of truth will come to you. What is the truth of your life? How can you best serve God? (John 16:12-15)

PRAYER TO THE HOLY TRINITY

Father, You sent your Word to bring us truth and your Spirit to make us holy.  Through them we come to know the mystery of your life.  Help us to worship you, one God in three persons.  You reveal yourself in the depths of our being, by proclaiming and living our faith in you.  Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever.  Amen.
